Synthetic fibres are incredibly versatile and dimensionally stable. They are easy to care for, robust and have great properties such as water and weather resistance.

For this reason, we use these fabrics for outdoor and sports clothing where there is no alternative.

In general, we recommend that you do not wash your outdoor and functional jackets too often. Instead, dirt should be gently wiped off with a damp cloth.

You can reactivate the rain-repellent effect using heat, for example in a tumble dryer or with a hairdryer.

Padded jackets, such as the No-Down Mister or the Trailblazer Cloud, should be taken to the dry cleaners to ensure they are dried properly.

If you do wash them at home, do not use fabric softener, as this can damage their functional properties. Do not use powder detergent either.

The outer fabric of our softshell models is made from a blend of 90% recycled polyester and 10% elastane. This is complemented by a 100% recycled polyester fleece lining and an outer PFC-free membrane made from 100% thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU).

This combination of materials makes the jackets waterproof (10,000 mm water column), windproof, insulating and breathable (3,500 g/m²/24 hours).

To ensure they last a long time and remain functional, softshell jackets should generally be washed as little as possible. Using a special detergent for microfibre clothing is recommended, as this washes extra gently. This preserves the water-repellent properties for longer.

The water-repellent property is supported by a membrane. However, the membrane may become partially detached with very frequent wear or washing. To improve adhesion and reactivate the water-repellent properties, we recommend treating the jacket with dry heat. This can be achieved by ironing without steam at a maximum temperature of 110 °C, blow-drying, or placing them in a tumble dryer. Please avoid pressing too hard when ironing, as this can cause shine or burns.

The outer fabric and lining of our quilted jackets are both made from 100% recycled polyester. They also feature a Sorona Aura filling made from 63% polyester and 37% elastomultiester. The jackets are coated with a PFC-free membrane.

This combination of materials makes the jackets waterproof (2,000 mm water column), windproof, and insulating.

To ensure they last a long time and remain functional, quilted jackets should be washed as little as possible, ideally on a special gentle cycle. Using a special detergent for microfibre clothing is also recommended, as this washes extra gently. This will help to preserve the water-repellent properties for longer.

These jacket models should be dried in a tumble dryer with tennis balls; otherwise, the filling will clump and slip. This will quickly make the beautiful coat look worn and flat.

The outer fabric of our ultra-light windbreaker is made from 100% recycled polyester. It is very densely woven, thin and tear-resistant.
Unlike previous models, the Spring/Summer 2025 windbreaker does not have a classic membrane coating on the outside, but instead has a water-repellent finish for protection against wind and light rain.
Previous ‘Windbraut’ models feature a classic membrane for wind protection.

To ensure long-lasting functionality, windbreakers should generally be washed as little as possible. Using special detergent for microfibre clothing is also recommended, as this washes extra gently. This will help to preserve the wind and water-repellent properties for longer.

However, the membrane may loosen slightly in places after frequent wear or washing. To improve adhesion and reactivate the water-repellent properties, we recommend treating the jackets with dry heat. Our lightweight, warm fleece jackets are made from 100% recycled polyester. The fabric is produced using a circular knitting process, giving it a soft, fluffy feel thanks to cut and sheared loops.

Thanks to their roughened and dense fibre structure on the surface, fleece jackets are lightweight, quick-drying, breathable, durable and slightly water-repellent.

It is best to wash your fleece jacket on a special gentle cycle. The material dries quickly after washing and does not require ironing.
